[SOLVED] Data Transfer: Where do the Extra Files and folders go

Hi,

I am using Fabs v6.0.0.25217.

When using the program in "Transfer data" method, where to the extra files and folders checked go? I was under the assumption that the would go to the same folder on the destination drive, but it does not exist after the transfer the complete. And the files/folders selected are not mentioned in the log.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [SOLVED] Data Transfer: Where do the Extra Files and folders go

Hello,
these items should be on the common desktop within folders named like "AutoBackup - Additional folders" and 'AutoBackup - Additional files".
That said, I have performed some changes in the program in order to make it able to put the files in the same folder on the destination drive. If the selected extra files and folders are selected from another drive, then, they will be copied on the destination drive common desktop in the above described folders.

If you want to test the development build, I have sent a download link via private message.
Let me know what you think about this

Thank-you! I was unable to find the folder you mentioned, however, after running Fabs a second time, it seemed to work.

Did you use the test build for this or the one you already have?

I just used the one I already have. I've been super busy with no time to test anything additional. Will try the test build next week smile

Re: [SOLVED] Data Transfer: Where do the Extra Files and folders go

Hello,
Function "Additional Files" backs up the file only if the program is running for the second time (this means a file is written in AutoBackup.ini on startup).
send log.

First run:
Fab's AutoBackup 6 - DEBUG

6.1.2.25751 Pro

Backup log
2015-07-27 - 12:53:42 - Processing : ADAM
2015-07-27 - 12:53:42 - Backup job is finished!

Second run:
Fab's AutoBackup 6 - DEBUG

6.1.2.25751 Pro

Backup log
2015-07-27 - 12:56:01 - Processing : ADAM
2015-07-27 - 12:56:01 - PUBLIC : Additional Files : 1 Files - 1,13 KB
2015-07-27 - 12:56:01 - PUBLIC : Processing : Additional Files : "!:\vystupbcdedit.txt" ("C:\vystupbcdedit.txt")
2015-07-27 - 12:56:01 - PUBLIC :
Copying file "C:\vystupbcdedit.txt" (1,13 KB) (2014/12/16 15:37)
to "e:\2015-07-27\PCDOMA\ADAM\archive\AdditionalFiles\Data\!\vystupbcdedit.txt"
2015-07-27 - 12:56:01 - Backup job is finished!

Thank you and sorry for my English. I have to use google translator.

Hi
First of all, you should have opened a new forum thread to post this because this one has not been made for exactly the same problem.
Then, you forgot to mention (like you did when you submitted the debug report by email) that it only happens when you are using the command line.

Did not you get my last email reply? I said that I will fix that as soon as possible.
I was far away from my computer the last days, hat is why this bug is not fixed yet.

Sorry if you feel I am too long to fix this bug.

I do not feel that the repair takes a long time.
The problem I found out later. The problem occurs in interactive mode (not just command line).

Yes, it happens with the GUI too.
I am working on it.
