autobackup not starting if using domain account

Hi,

Just purchased and testing the app. My issue is that the program refuses to run when i login with domain account but runs with local account.
The GUI comes up for 1 sec and then closes.

That is weird since I develop and test the app using a Windows 10 computer with a domain account and there is not that kind of problem. I may have another idea: the program may be closed by your antivirus software. Are you using Symantec? There are often problems with them.

thanks for the quick reply fab, its using trend micro which is also active in local, for testing sake i did unload it but still the same.

How do you launch the program? Directly with a double click or a command line?

A while back, an user had a problem with GUI not showing up. He could get rid of this by removing the 'AutoBackup.ini' file and starting it again. Do you have this behavior on every computer you test?

removed ini file and still same. i only have access to one workstation for now so havent tested on others. its running win7 pro.

the program opens up very briefly and then its closed.

I have no idea of what is going on. Since I cannot help you that much. All I can do is to offer a refund and all my apologies.

no worries, i wouldn't ask for a refund and I've used autobackup for years and its been a real time saver.
just wanted to know if there was a solution.

tried with autobackup 4 to see if that loads and it did but give dialog at start, remote registry could not be loaded.

Are you logged in with the domain account when you start the program or are you prompted for administrator credentials ?
